All-Stars Episode 16: My Shot For Redemption

5 players remain, and what a crazy and unexpected bunch they are. Chris T is worried that Holli and Eric are still working together, since they gave eachother a smile after the vote. Chris T wants Eric gone next, but Eric thinks he's safe and in between two pairs. Ashley wants Victoria out.

A hard-fought battle
The immunity challenge is to answer questions then take a sponge and squeeze water into a cup to try and make it overflow. Holli uses her advantage which is an extra sponge. Everybody gets the questions wrong except Victoria, meaning she overtakes Holli. The more questions she gets, the more Victoria pulls away. Victoria then starts getting a few wrong, and now Eric is catching up. Victoria, Eric and Chris T are all very close and Chris T ends up winning. Victoria goes in for a hug even after he warns her not to.

Eric and Ashley tell Chris T that they're voting Victoria off. But Victoria talks with Holli to try and get her to vote Eric. Now she's in the middle and unsure of what to do. Chris T makes a plea for them to stick to their original plan.

At tribal council, Victoria says the other three are tight, but Holli denies it. Chris T feels like he got duped into voting Alex, but Ashley says she never lied to him, she just changed her mind. Victoria says they're gonna need her to beat Chris T and that it'd be a mistake to vote her out. Chris T points out Eric has been trying to get Holli out for ages, and Holli says her vote will come down to who has been more truthful with her. Victoria is voted out, and tells Chris T he "better kill it".

Chris T is fired up after the vote and is now gunning for Holli. Ashley tells Chris T she's willing to vote Eric, but truthfully she's still unsure and her decision will depend on who wins the challenge. Holli tries to explain herself to Chris T, saying Victoria was a bigger immunity threat than Eric and he's still in her final 3, but he doesn't seem to believe her.

There are 9 parts to the next immunity challenge: eat chicken, spin a bat, walk a balance beam, find a tennis ball, chuck it in a bucket, toss a bolo, answer a trivia question, stack coins, count objects and stack dominos. Chris T finishes the chicken first and does the bat and balance beam with nobody close. Eric moves on next, and gets to the ball search as Chris T attempts to recall the partners in order of elimination. Chris T completes the stacking as Holli starts catching up. Chris T is up to the counting, whilst Eric and Holli stack coins. Chris T has his dominos now, whilst Eric is stuck on figuring out the partners. Chris T wins immunity, leaving Eric super salty.

Game respects game
Chris T is thinking of forcing a tie to try and get Holli out, but makes Eric promise to take him to final 2 if he does. Holli gets frustrated trying to talk to Chris T but later makes a pitch to him that they're the most deserving to stay in the game. The pitch seems to get through to Chris T, who is torn between his head and his heart.

At tribal council, Eric argues with Holli over her definition of deserving. They also both try to convince Chris T the other one is bullshitting him when they say they'd take him to final 2. Chris T is unsure of his vote even as he's sitting down ready to write, but in the end, he forces a 2-2 tie.

Perfectly balanced
The tiebreak challenge is to keep a ball balanced on a platform. Both survive the first few rounds despite some close calls, and it goes down to the hardest stage. The pulsating challenge ends with Holli's ball falling off...and you can tell she is heartbroken. Holli played a hell of a game and it's sad to see her get so close and fall short, but she has nothing but positive things to say about the experience.

Ahead of the final challenge, Eric says he's torn on whether to keep his promise or not if he wins. Chris T is prepared to fight to the death, thinking he goes home if he loses. The challenge is to hold onto the sundial. The first few hours are some fun banter reminiscing about the game, but then it gets dark and cold. Chris T makes a deal that whoever jumps off first, he'd be more likely to take. Eric is the first to step off after 3 hours. Chris T makes the argument to Ashley that Eric has some votes she doesn't have. 5 hours in, Chris T is surprised Ashley is still hanging on. But she does eventually drop, giving Chris T his 6th win.

Ashley and Chris reach the end of the road
At tribal council, Eric says it would be easier to convince the winner to take him to the end than to outlast them. Ashley's pitch is she never lied to Chris T. Eric bribes Chris T with chipotle. Ashley says she's hoping to get a chance to tell the jury why she deserves to make it this far. Chris T casts his vote and chooses to send Eric to the jury. Now he thinks it was a bad move to give up so easily in the challenge. Gee, ya think?

Ashley says her goal was to learn from her first season's mistakes, and is hoping she can convince people her game was deliberate. Chris T says he's had to fight to get to where he is, but is a little worried there might be people on the jury mad at him.

Final tribal council begins with opening statements. Ashley opens up by talking about how her strategy of loyalty and honesty was a good one and points out that she was the only one that didn't make the merge the first time and thus has improved more than anyone else. Chris T talks about his challenge wins and claims he did have a good social game (which gets head shakes from Eric and Chris L). Jordan opens up by comparing Chris T to a toddler but is impressed he was willing to take shots, even if he missed a lot. He asks them what about their game was strong. Ashley says being unswayable. Chris T says his challenge performances.

Evan asks who on the jury doesn't deserve to be an all-star. Chris T says Shannon (come again? I guess he figures he must have her vote no matter what) and Eric. Ashley says Eric and Alex. Eric asks Chris T why he should vote for him when he voted him out, and he says it's a compliment that he would rather face Ashley. Shannon asks for their biggest regret. Chris T says voting for Evan and losing his trust. Ashley says not establishing herself as an individual.

Alex asks Ashley if she ever would've made a move on Holli. Ashley says she considered it but can't say for sure. Micah wants to know what Chris T would've done if he hadn't won so many challenges, and he points out he survived final 6 without immunity. He asks Ashley what she would've done if Holli had left earlier, and she says she had other relationships too, such as with Chris L.

Chris L asks for them to argue for his vote, Ashley without mentioning loyalty and Chris T without mentioning challenge wins. Ashley says she wanted to show you didn't have to be a big moves player to go far in the game. Chris T says he hopes Chris L can appreciate his vote-off as good gameplay and apologises for any hard feelings. Victoria asks Ashley to clarify her relationship with Holli, and wants Chris T to explain the dynamic of their partnership. Holli asks Chris T how serious he took their alliance. Chris T says he was planning to stay loyal right until the end but his head overrode his heart at the last minute.

Now it's time for the jury to make their choice. Jordan and Victoria are Chris T votes, unsurprisingly. Eric and Holli vote for Ashley, which isn't too surprising either. When the votes are revealed, Chris T is the winner, even earning Chris L's vote. What a turnaround for the season's biggest underdog. A great winner to finish off a great season.
