All-Stars Episode 1: There Can Only Be One

20 contestants return to the game for a second chance at glory. Austin asks them to divide themselves into Heroes and Villains, and Chris T turns heads when he declares himself a hero. Those are not actually the tribes though...it's men vs women, to which Siona is a surprise detractor.

GIRLS: Siona, Ashley, Sabrina, Rebecca, Nicole, Michelle, Holli, Shannon, Victoria, Sierra
GUYS: Micah, Brandon, Alex P, Eric, Chris T, Evan, Ryan, Jordan, Alex G, Chris L

Battle of the sexes
We then get to the second twist of the game: every player will have a secret pair on the opposite tribe, and the last pair standing has the chance to win immunity for 2 rounds (depending on when they get it). The girls will draw names out of a bag, and Victoria's worst nightmare is realized when she chooses Chris T. Siona doesn't seem thrilled to get Evan, and Michelle ends up with Brandon...the dude who voted her out. Shannon is excited to get Eric, and Nicole is very happy to get Ryan. The other pairs are Rebecca/Alex G, Sabrina/Jordan, Ashley/Alex P, Sierra/Micah and Holli/Chris L.

The players then have the chance to search the area for a special idol that will keep them safe for the first tribal. Renowed idol hound Jordan gets the guys' idol and uses it as leverage to cement bonds with Chris L, Chris T, Alex P and Evan. Eric manages to just beat Rebecca to the girls' idol and should probably try to do the same thing but...doesn't. Nicole manages to tell Ryan that she's his secret partner, which he's happy about. All the girls except Holli, Victoria and Sierra go off for a bathroom break and Holli gets paranoid that she's already on the outs now. Searching time over, Eric throws the idol away rather than hand it to somebody. A few girls race for it, but Rebecca gets it first. There you go, guess she won't be getting Francesca'd.

The tribes, now named Furiosa and Urukhai, get to their first challenge. It's a series of tasks that include eating stale chicken, collecting bags whilst tied together, crossing a beam with a ball balanced on a plank and dominos. The girls get a huge head start when Siona and Sabrina prove better eaters than Ryan and Eric. The beam proves troublesome though, allowing the boys to catch up. Shannon and Michelle stick with it for the girls, and are the first to complete it. Evan and Alex P level it. Victoria and Sabrina get over and the girls can proceed. Sierra has a lot of time to stack dominos, but knocks her entire stack over the wrong way twice. The boys finish the beam thanks to Jordan and Alex G and catch up. Victoria is subbing in now, going against Micah. Both do a great job and their dominos drop at virtually the exact same time. Pandemonium ensues as nobody knows who won, but a review of the tape awards the win to the girls. Now that was as close as it gets!

The guys get to strategizing quickly as Evan throws out Brandon's name, thinking he's the weakest link. Chris L suggests Ryan should go, since he never trusted him the first time they played together. Evan isn't one to argue too hard at this point and agrees to it. The girls drama starts up early with a mild tiff between Ashley and Siona. Ashley also tries to get in touch with Alex P to tell him she's his partner, but he stands her up. His loss.

Stuck together, whether they like it or not
Cross tribal alliances begin to form, starting with Michelle and Chris T. Chris T recognizes the need for new connections since all his old ones hate him. Holli lets Chris L know they are partners, and Chris L wants Holli to know that he doesn't want to lie to Shannon about it. That makes her a little nervous, and it gets even more awkward when Shannon catches them talking. Chris L spills the beans to Shannon - which I guess was inevitable - and she in turn tells him she has Eric. Could this be the beginning of a two-pair alliance?

Ryan and Chris T are not sure about voting out Brandon, since they feel they're not in a good position on the tribe. Ryan reaches out to Chris L, which makes him reconsider voting him out. Chris L tuns his attention to the 5 that they formed, and tells Evan he has doubts about Alex P. Evan trusts him, but Chris L finds him sketchy, and says he'll trust Evan a lot more with him out of the picture.

At tribal council, Evan feels he's more comfortable than most since he's played the most recently. The potential season 4 voting bloc is brought up, which Alex P plays down and stresses it's a brand new game. Jordan throws Ryan under the bus by pointing out his poor challenge performance.

We get to the vote, with Ryan and Alex P voting for eachother, finding the other one untrustworthy. Alex G votes for his namesake. It's a blindside for Alex P, who takes it in his stride, saying it's easier to stomach getting kicked off early before you've had a chance to get invested. A major name is out already - really setting the pace for this season to be an absolute bloodbath!
