Guts And Glory Episode 2: She Was A Fighter

After tribal council, Brandon reveals he felt sorry for Priya and that's why he didn't vote for her, but tries unsuccessfully to pretend it wasn't him. Did he really think he'd get away with it on a tribe of 6? Anyway, this just makes Matt even more distrustful of him, and even Nicola now has questions.

Shannon is shocked that her bestie on the other tribe is gone, but makes her alliance with Evan and Micah official. They all agree Michelle should go first. Michelle is well aware it's between her and Mollie and reaches out to Alex for some back-up.

Allan and Rene have bonded on Ula Ula, whereas Katie and Elyse are also getting along. As a matter of fact, Katie has a good connection with pretty much everyone on her tribe, with the exception of Emily...which is why she's pushing to get her out first.

The blind leading the blind
The immunity challenge sees the tribes blindfolded in pairs, with a caller directing them to pick up bags. Once they feel they have enough bags, they must then build a row of dominos. Brandon, Emily and Alex decide to take the caller roles. Allan and Katie get a bag first. Shannon also gets one, although Alex's direction is no help. Azula hit a snag when they feel up a tree, Sohachtoa pick up the wrong thing, and there's even a collision at one point. Azula are first to get to the dominos and task Sherry with setting them up. Sohcahtoa and Ula Ula catch them up, with Micah and Emily taking it on. Azula win the challenge, Sohcahtoa come second...but all three teams finished within seconds of eachother.

Azula are happy to have gone from the bottom to the top, but Sherry is noting that Brandon is seeming like an even bigger threat now. Emily is worried after the challenge as she played a big role, but Allan appreciates that she stepped up and wants Elyse gone, who was too quick to sit out for his liking. Katie likes Elyse though and wants to keep her. Brian shares Katie's view that it should be Emily, and hopes that they can get their way over the other two guys.

Brian keeps the mood light
At tribal council, Brian just gives a smartass answer when Austin asks how to vote, making him think that it's an easy decision. Emily hopes that people saw her trying, whereas Elyse admits she didn't want blame if they failed. Both the girls on the chopping block admit they didn't get as many reassurances as they wanted, but it's too late now!

As they vote, Rene preaches that it's all business and gives some deep thoughts. Emily gets the feeling it might be her, and she turns out to be right. No blindside this time, I do wonder why she voted for Brian though. This one seemed like a fairly straightforward decision, but the next vote will probably reveal where the real power lies.
