Guts And Glory Episode 3: Old Feet Skin Chips

Well, Elyse survived the vote, but she's going to have to step up now, according to Allan. Katie has her choice of partners but is looking to make Rene her number one. Didn't see that coming. On Azula, Matt and Sherry look for the idol together, as they really don't want Brandon to find it.

Evan almighty
Evan is also on an idol hunt, and walks right by its hiding place several times before getting it. He's not telling anyone yet, and decides to go looking in the same place with Micah a few hours later. Evan sees this as an opportunity to paint a target on Alex, who he's mad at for hijacking Shannon's role as the caller in the last challenge, and starts planting the seeds he might have it. He even points out his own footprints as evidence.

The contestants get stuck in to a gross food challenge. Elyse, Michelle and Sherry take on the first dish, which is stale chicken. Micah, Katie and Nicola then eat fungus, where Katie holds her nose. Rene, Matt and Mollie eat skeletal fish. Allan, Shannon and Brandon swallow chili peppers. The last dish is...balut! Brian claims he can do it, but struggles the most with it, as Evan and Sherry beat him. Brian finishes it off to tie it up. The tiebreaker round is a combination of them all, with Brandon, Evan and Rene taking it on. Evan is first, Rene is second...Brandon loses out.

Considering their options
Sherry makes it clear that she's targeting Brandon, but Nicola and Brandon have their own plans. They want Sherry to go next as agreed, and are hoping to bring Matt on board as their third. Matt doesn't put up much of a fight to keep Sherry, but would feel guilty for turning on her. He asks Mikey what he wants to do, and he's in two minds. They can make the safe vote and take out Sherry, but that could leave them in a pickle if they lose again.

Brandon and Nicola open up tribal council by making a joke about how they're dating. That's not gonna help the perception that they're too tight. Brandon fesses up to voting for Sherry last time, although everyone already knew. Nicola outlines the tribe dynamics, and Sherry denies being close with Matt. Sherry says she wouldn't be surprised to be voted out, but Brandon says he would be. Nicola says people are starting to think long-term now.

The tribe cast their votes, with Brandon laughing the whole way. We'll see if he's still laughing in a minute. The votes are read, and Sherry is voted out unanimously. Darn, she was such a rootable underdog and is still being a sweetheart even in her final words. Well, hopefully Azula become a stronger tribe out of this and are able to bounce back.
