Guts And Glory Episode 4: Kickin Ass And Takin Names

Mikey talks about how Azula is 2 vs 2 now, but Matt has been reassured that he's Nicola and Brandon's 3rd. Overall they're still a tight 4 though, and Nicola just wants Sohcahtoa to lose for a change.

Rene expresses his desire to see Elyse voted out next. Brian is convinced him and Katie are the power couple though, and that it's their choice. Brian is still looking for the idol, but has had no luck, so he thinks it's been found.

Mollie is not sure who is going home on her tribe, and worries that she hasn't socialized enough. Michelle is pretty sure she's going out. The "Sohcahtrio", as they are now known, meet up to discuss strategy, and Evan says he's confident they'll hold together since they gave it a name.

All they do is win
The immunity challenge is for the tribes to move pingpong balls across the water, dive down to collect pennies, and then throw their ping pong balls into a basket. Azula lead the way early, although not because of Brandon, who Austin points out is not helping with the balls at all. We move on to the dive section which Evan does well at, but Matt can't seem to find any, leaving Nicola to make multiple trips down. Ula Ula win the challenge, as Micah and Evan perform badly at the shooting. Azula get their last penny and have a chance to win, but their shooting is even worse. Sohcahtoa avoid defeat again, and Azula will have to vote somebody out for a third time.

Mikey is nervous after the loss, and is now regretting voting out Sherry. He still has hopes of a tiebreaker though. Nicola is pissed because she did the bulk of the work and got 5 pennies on her own. Brandon, Nicola and Matt agree to stick together whatever happens next. It's slightly awkward though when Matt goes looking for the idol and Brandon catches him. Is this enough to jeopardize their bond?

The surviving three
At tribal council (which Brian is attending as part of Ula Ula's reward), Brandon says how swimming is this tribe's weakness...even though they're the blue tribe. Matt says there's no clear clique on the tribe, although he gets slightly worried when Brandon appears to forget his name. Mikey is asked if he's considered voting Matt, but says he didn't want to be on the bottom. Brandon talks about how they will have to stay tight to overcome their numbers disadvantage.

At the vote, Mikey votes for Brandon, hoping Matt will do the same. But he doesn't, and Mikey is unsurprisingly cut, who dishes out hugs as he leaves. So now Azula is down to three...but we've seen decimated tribes bounce back before, so maybe we will again.
