Maryland Outback Episode 12: Moral Dilemma

The whole group are in disbelief at how Chris L managed to save himself and Steve. Turns out it was made possible by Phil telling him they were going to split the votes in the hopes he would play the idol. This doesn't deter Siona as she still has Chris L in her sights. Nicole C lies that she didn't know her vote would send Connor home, with most of them buying her naive act. And now she has Chris L and Steve trying to lock down a final 3 with her.

Steve grabs a life vest

The immunity challenge involves staying above water as long as possible. Siona sits out since she can't swim, and Nicole C's leg injury means she's not long for the challenge either. The players are then told to hold a ball above their head, which knocks Ryan out. Phil and Chandler are out next, at which point, Chris L decides to let Steve have it. Another bro move. Siona is left unhappy and complains about the challenge being "unfair".

Playing with fire

It seems Steve doesn't share the love for his good buddy, and thinks that Chris L leaving would actually be good for his game and reduce his target. Nicole C wants Phil out, so that's what Chris L and Steve are gonna do. They work on swaying Chandler, by letting him know Phil leaked the split vote plan. Nicole C is hoping to be able to pair up with Chandler now, and decides to let him know that she knew Connor was leaving.

Ryan figures out Phil is getting the votes, and thinks he should let him know that he needs to play the idol. When Chris L finds out he might play it, he tries to get votes switched to Siona.

There's a lot of whispering going on into tribal council, as Siona talks about how she kept changing her plans and is now worried Chandler will vote her out. Chris L does some last minute communication with Phil, trying to get him to vote Siona. Will it work?

As the votes are cast, both Chris L and Steve think it's a longshot for the vote to go their way, but are hoping for the best. Phil decides to trust Chris L after getting his word that he wouldn't vote for him. As the votes come back, it's 2 for Chris L, 1 for Siona and 4 for Phil. Phil yells "Goddammit" as he realizes he has gone home with the idol in his pocket. Rolled the dice one too many times. Siona is pretty mad...because she thought Phil was more deserving than her.

Well, another strong contender bites the dust as Chris L pulls another rabbit out of the hat. This ride to the finish just doesn't let up.
