Maryland Outback Episode 13: The Alliances That Clash

Everyone is a little shocked Phil went home with the idol, and Siona wonders if telling him to play it actually had the opposite effect. Steve admits it was a selfish move on his part to insist on voting for Phil, since it wasn't him who would've paid the price if things went wrong, but luckily it all worked out. So now Chandler and Nicole C find themselves in the middle...although Siona is actually proposing that Steve and Chris L join them to vote out Chandler, since she doesn't want a floater to win the game. Ryan is starting to get suspicious of Nicole C, realizing she may have been subtly helping Steve and Chris L for a while.

The immunity challenge is to shoot raspberries at a set of targets after getting trivia questions right. After the first round, only Chandler is able to score for himself...Nicole C scores for Chris L, whilst Steve scores for Nicole C. Only Siona gets the next question, but misses the board. Nicole C takes another shot and hits the yellow target, losing her a point. Steve scores for Ryan with his next shot, and Chandler loses a point as well. Towards the end of the challenge, Chris L shoots into the ground to avoid jeopardizing his lead. Steve then decides to help out Chris L and scores him two more points. With the last shot, Nicole C gets herself a point, but it's Chris L that wins immunity. His first individual win, believe it or not.

Raspberry alliance
Nicole C feels the least close to Siona out of the players left, so that's who she would prefer to go for...plus there's the fact she's told literally everyone else she would never write their name down. Siona tries to reaffirm with Steve their final 4 deal, but Ryan isn't on board with that at all and still wants Steve out. Chris L blabs to Chandler that Siona has been scheming against him, which was Ryan's worst fear. It doesn't deter Chandler from wanting to stick with Ryan and Siona though. Nicole C turns out to be the troublesome one, and the rest of them can't quite understand why she feels so much loyalty to Steve and Chris L. Siona just calls her meek.

Shade being thrown
At tribal council, Austin asks Chris L how big this win was, and his smart-ass reply is "same size it's always been". When asked if she's planning to vote for Steve, Siona doesn't deny it. Ryan is asked if the people not in pairs are deciding, and Siona calls out Nicole C whilst he's talking. Nicole C admits she's made too many promises in the game. Chris L gets the last word, encouraging people to flip on the revote if they want to save themselves.

The initial vote comes back a 3-3 tie, so we go to our first revote of the season. Ryan stands his ground, but Chandler doesn't take the risk, and sends Siona out. Siona's a little disappointed in Chandler but expected nothing from Nicole C. Yknow, for a feminist, Siona sure gets into a lot of feuds with girls, huh?

Well, this vote leaves Ryan without his partner whilst Steve and Chris L are stronger than ever. Quite a turnaround from a few weeks ago. How it'll play out from here is anyone's guess.
