Maryland Outback Episode 9: We Ate Bugs Tonight

Chris L feels good about Connor and Chandler after they helped him get Xandria out. He also tells Steve and Nicole L that he'd be willing to use the idol on them, since he only has a few more votes left to use it anyway.

Ryan is targeting Phil after cottoning on to his sly gameplay, seeing he was one of the ones trying to flip the vote. Phil has also lost trust in Siona and Ryan. But there's another Waka relationship that is even sadder to see go: Chris T reveals him and Nicole C have broken up since they have different relationship goals. Sorry showmance fans.

Siona the champion swallower
The immunity challenge is eating gross food. For the first round, they have dung beetles. Siona wins the first heat, with Nicole L and Chris T advancing...Nicole C and Steve don't even try for it. In the second heat, Phil and Connor move on, with the last place going to Chris L or Chandler after Ryan struggles. Chandler is the one that moves on.

Round 2 is grasshoppers and worm larvae, with the top three moving on. Siona finishes first, whilst Connor and Chandler also advance. The final round is crickets, dung beetles...and also a disgusting cocktail. Siona cleans up in seconds to win immunity. Connor continues anyway, despite losing.

"Hold me Phil, I'm scared"
Connor wants Phil gone, but then Chris L tells him he has the idol. Chris L's plan is to tip off Phil that he's getting voted out in order to make him play it, but then they actually vote for Chris T. When Chris T finds out from Chris L that Phil is on the chopping block, he isn't sure he believes him, starting to suspect it's a ploy to get him out. They're hopeful Connor and Chandler will vote with them for Ryan anyway, but Chris T leaves the decision in Phil's hands.

At tribal council, Steve says the last vote wasn't as simple as Nehami vs Waka. Phil says there are unbreakable relationships in the game. Connor is asked about idols and says there's a possibility of seeing one tonight.

Phil decides not to play the idol, and when the votes are read, Chris L's plan is executed to perfection, with Chris T going home 5-3-2. That, my friends, is probably the best move game so far. Hopefully that's the calibre of gameplay we can expect all the way to the end,
