Maryland Outback Episode 5: Trust No-one, But Trust Everyone

Steve is disappointed that Chris T lied to him on the last vote. And he wasn't the only one...Chris T had told Karla he was going to vote neutral, which convinced her to throw her vote away. Now the plan is to get Steve or Xandria out next and take original Waka to the end.

Victorious brojump
The immunity challenge is to carry eggs on a spoon, then toss them across to their other tribemates. First to 10 eggs wins. Chandler and Xandria are the throwers, Ashley and Steve are the first catchers, Alex and Chris T are the second catchers. Xandria throws her eggs way too high, allowing Waka to take the lead. With Waka 3-1 up, Connor successfully smashes two of their eggs and Nehami take the lead. The match comes to a close finish, as Ashley gets covered in yolk. The final point is decided when Chris L steps out of his zone and is penalized, giving Nehami immunity.

Nicole the mediator
Chris L tells Phil he has the idol to try and build some trust, which causes Phil to share his idol with Chris L too. Chris L tries to make Nicole L believe Xandria has it when she asks (which is pretty ridiculous) but eventually comes clean and tells her the truth. Chris L and Alex are still wary of eachother, but Nicole L is hoping to bridge the gap between them.

Brandon hates Ashley and wants her gone, and encourages the five guys to stick together. Phil and Chris L are considering taking Brandon out though as he's got a bit too close with Chandler. When Ashley hears she's on the chopping block, she joins up with the old Waka. Brandon also hears he's in danger, so switches his target to Alex. Alex and Brandon go into tribal hoping to get out the other one. How Ashley skated off the radar I'm not sure, but this game appears to be moving fast.

At tribal council, Brandon says there's pretty much no tribal loyalty anymore. Nicole C also claims she's not necessarily with her old tribe either. Ashley says the gameplay really stepped up a notch today, with probably half the tribe hearing their name come up.

As we get to the vote, Phil seems conflicted but chooses the option that he says will break the least number of promises. It's clear it'll come down to Alex or Brandon, and the tribe are on the edge of their seat when there's 3 votes for each. Brandon ends up being the one getting the boot. Chandler didn't expect that, but Phil offers to explain himself later.

Well, that's what you get when you have 8 people playing hard on a tribe. Now that lines are set, who will be next? Guess we'll see.
